    A jury Tuesday awarded $11.1 million to a 59-year-old blind and developmentally disabled man who has lived for 26 years in a Niagara Falls group home run by the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Niagara County. The jury awarded almost everything Connors asked for: $600,000 in past damages, $1 million for future damages and $6 million over 20 years for future medical costs. Jurors added $3.5 million in punitive damages.

Roach, a partner in the Buffalo, N.Y. firm of Connors & Vilardo LLP, became a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers at the group’s recent annual meeting in New York City. The induction ceremony took place at the Waldorf-Astoria before an audience of nearly 1,100 on October 20.
